As we do not provide evening meals ourselves, we are very fortunate to have a wide variety of shops, cafés and restaurants within a short distance of the Hotel. Using the local bus or taxi service over the Bridge gives you easy access to Kyle’s cafés, restaurants and bars, in addition to those in Kyleakin itself.
Within Kyleakin there are 3 choices for evening drinks and possibly live music, depending on the night, but definitely at weekends! The Kings Arms has a main restaurant and bar, but also has a more lively local bar and is just a 5 minute walk into the centre of the village. They offer music aimed a slightly more "mature" clientele, both local and hotel residents. Saucy Mary's and the Haakon, are the local pubs, also in the centre of the village, and offer meals throughout the day and evening, with live music at weekends and aimed at a "younger" clientele, especially as Saucy's is one of the local hostels in the village.
Just across the Bridge in Kyle, in addition to the 2 excellent restaurants listed on the right of this page, you will find several hotels offering evening meals, along with a couple of local bars and a cafe/takeaway.
Our guests repeatedly recommend the restaurants listed on the right of this page for lunch and/or evening meals.
During the summer months booking a table is extremely advisable. We are happy to make advance reservations for guests on request.
For a meal at the Three Chimneys Restaurant (rated in the World’s Top 50 Restaurants according to Restaurant Magazine) you will need to make a reservation for both lunch and evening meals, essentially weeks/months ahead of your visit to Skye! Many guests have had meals there and the praise has been high indeed!
